MILTON GLASER
The graphic artist Milton Glaser created what remains his most iconic piece of work as part of a state-sponsored tourism campaign in 1977, when crime in New York was at an all-time high and the turmoil of that year’s blackout had further discouraged visitors. Glaser did the project pro-bono, in the name of helping the city recover. All images courtesy of Milton Glaser Inc.
